A FUN, COLOURFUL WEDDING | MARLEYBROOK HOUSE
A fun, colourful wedding and a vintage funfair
Since moving to Preston in Kent and only being a two minute walk from Marleybrook House, I was so excited when Daisy and James chose me to be their wedding photographer. I knew as soon as I met them this was going to be a fun filled wedding and I was not wrong! I think the 10 minute conversation with James about the best larger to serve may have been a bit of a clue.
I love shooting bridal prep at Marleybrook and I’m so glad Daisy decided to get ready in their luxurious, white suite. She totally rocked her Boho head chain and fishtail wedding dress, with her bridesmaids and James daughter complimenting her in beautiful pastel shades. Colour was the theme for this wedding and it was in abundance, from the table decoration and flowers to the bright natural colours of the venue.
The confetti tunnel is one of my favourite parts of the day and they had decided to use bubbles. I was a bit unsure if the bubbles would stand out in the photographs but it worked really well and I think helped by all their guests getting in on the action. May was an absolute scorcher, which was perfect for their drinks reception amongst the orchard trees and over looking the funfair. Daisy and James had opted to have the Sky Dancer vintage big wheel. Now I’m rubbish on rides and despite this being a vintage wheel it still looks scary. Basically not only does it go fast but you can also spin upside down! Very funny to watch and capture peoples faces whilst they are being flung around.
Marleybrook has so many beautiful backdrops to use for the couple shoot. You are completely spoilt! I decided to wait until after the speeches, to take advantage of the beautiful evening light, before taking them off for some intimate pictures. Daisy and James love joking around so I just let them enjoy the grounds whilst I snapped away.
Congratulations Daisy and James it was such a fun day. I can’t wait for my next Marleybrook wedding.

let's get this conversation started
“I can't tell you how much we love the photos. They really are just ‘fantastic’. Looking through them genuinely did take us back through all the excitement and emotions of the day, which was always what we hoped for from wedding pictures! I don't know how you manage to capture so much feeling and sentiment but you did and we have had so much enjoyment looking through them and reliving it all. Thank you for doing such a wonderful job, we couldn't be happier with them! We were overwhelmed with the slideshow too, what a generous and wonderful thing of you to do! It brings shivers down my spine watching it and - we absolutely loved it with the music!! We will really treasure that forever ‘thank you’!”
