New beginnings and a stunner of a venue

So the Clare Randell Photography headquarters (also known as my family home) has moved to the sleepy and rural village of Preston, just 20 minutes outside of Canterbury. You may wonder why we would leave our vibrant town of Whitstable behind to adorn our Hunter wellies and join in with the farming chat at the local pub.

Well for a number of reasons really, which I won’t list now but one very important reason is to continue enhancing my natural and environmental wedding photography style. Oh, and did I forget to mention that Preston is also home to one of the best and prettiest wedding venues in Kent, Marleybrook House.

Attention to detail

Marleybrook House is set in five acres of stunning grounds and is surrounded by entwining streams and golden wheat fields. The owners Janie and Kris have sympathetically restored the beautiful circa. 1650 thatched cottage into their home and are now into their third wedding season. However, this is no ordinary quintessential English wedding venue. It delivers in opulence and has an exquisite style, for example, you can sit with your guests on hay bales but you will be served champagne in beautiful crystal flute glasses.

A photographers dream

Looking around the venue I was like a kid in a candy shop. It’s a visual bonanza! There is everything you could possibly imagine and ever require from a wedding venue. An elegant French-themed wedding suite, a fully kitted out bridal studio, a fabulous bar and snug stocked with local brews and premium drinks, a gorgeous outside ceremony area with an Italian fountain and pillared gazebo, an oak framed barn if the weather is not kind and an immaculately dressed Grand Marquee with large crystal chandeliers, a stage, and a dance floor.

Oh and I also most forgot a VINTAGE FAIRGROUND! Containing a big wheel, Victorian swing boats, loads of traditional stalls and fun games and props. There is even a gypsy caravan and showman carriage for your guests to stay.

Before I get over excited I’m going to shut up now and let the pictures do the talking.

let's get this conversation started

I can't tell you how much we love the photos. They really are just ‘fantastic’. Looking through them genuinely did take us back through all the excitement and emotions of the day, which was always what we hoped for from wedding pictures! I don't know how you manage to capture so much feeling and sentiment but you did and we have had so much enjoyment looking through them and reliving it all. Thank you for doing such a wonderful job, we couldn't be happier with them! We were overwhelmed with the slideshow too, what a generous and wonderful thing of you to do! It brings shivers down my spine watching it and - we absolutely loved it with the music!! We will really treasure that forever ‘thank you’!”
